Purpose

Eastern Carolina Presbytery affirms "that Jesus Christ is the King and Head of the Church and the only lawgiver in Zion, that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God written, that we are committed without reservation to the Reformed Faith as set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, and that the ultimate purpose of the presbytery and the churches therein is to glorify God in carrying out the Great Commission and winning souls to the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20)" (from the ECP Manual of Operation).
